The purpose of this document is to
outline the industry recommended practice for conducting ground
disturbance activities near buried facilities, with the intended
goal of preventing damage to buried facilities.

The second edition of IRP 17 has been developed with the
feedback of our industry over the past five years. We are convinced
that the user community of a product or service determines its
success. That is why Enform invites all users of this IRP - buried
facility owners, project owners, ground disturbers and others
involved in the ground disturbance process such as regulators,
one-call centres, locators and trainers whose practices support the
ground disturbance process - to continuously provide us with
feedback and suggestions, so that we live up to your expectations,
with every edition.
