Enform Certified Instructor Diploma Program
Certified Instructional Diploma Outline
Enform has developed an instructional matrix identified as the
Certified Instructor Diploma (CID) Program. This CID program
encompasses a set of instructional elements, criteria, and
competencies categorized within a system of Educational Learning
Units. Each unit constitutes a compilation of instructional time
and learning content, and is rated in relationship to the
complexity of the learning content and performance requirements.
Each Learning Unit requires approximately two (2) hours for
completion.
Note: The CID program has been
designed as a Master Instructor Program. Furthermore, a
co-certification initiative is underway to align the Enform
Certified Instructor Diploma program with a Technical Institute or
University with a corresponding Post Secondary program, allowing
for an additional or co-certification opportunity.
Note: The CID program is a system
designed to ensure instructional competency. To that end,
formal equivalencies will be considered by the
Registrar (See Course Description Section of this website
for identification of Competencies - Outcomes and Objectives).
Note: An equivalency matrix has
been implemented to assist the Registrar with equivalency
assessment. Equivalency will be granted through a competency
assessment methodology - Candidates will be required to provide
competency documentation from previous training/educational
institutions for equivalency assessment.
Criteria
- CID Learning Unit requirements are
acquired through participation in a preset course of study and must
be completed within a three (3) year period of
time
- CID program offering consists of both
mandatory and optional requirements
- CID program
stipulates thirty four (34) required Learning Units for
accreditation. Specifically, the CID Program completion
requires twenty-six (26) mandatory
Learning Units and (8) optional Learning Units for
a total of thirty four (34) Learning Units
- Yearly minimum requirement is the
completion of six (6) Learning Units while enrolled in the
program
- CID certification dropped if yearly
Learning Units are not achieved
- CID reinstatement requires the
completion of the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) and an
additional instructor audit
Note: Current Franchise Instructors and those
individuals that have completed the Enform Instructor training
course are NOT required to complete the
Instructional Skills Workshop. These individuals will be
awarded Nine (9) Learning Units. They will be required to complete
the Making Training More Effective Online
course prior to January 1, 2011, to maintain their standing with
the CID Program.
Certification Maintenance
- A minimum of three (3) Learning Units are required per
year to maintain CID certification. An equivalency maintenance
matrix will provide instructors with professional development
options and equivalency guidelines
