Under the umbrella of Enform, the Petroleum Human Resources Council of Canada (PHRC) is a national collaborative forum and primary resource addressing strategic human resource related issues in the upstream petroleum industry. The PHRC partners with stakeholders to develop information, strategies and solutions to assist in developing a sustainable, skilled and productive workforce for the oil and gas industry.



Job Overview:



Reporting directly to the Research Manager, Labour Market Information, the Administrator, Labour Market Information is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Labour Market Information Program.



Responsibilities:




  • Assist the Research Manager and Analyst to coordinate research activities for Labour Market Information initiatives 


  • Support the Research Manager and Analyst to schedule logistics for consultant meetings and record action items and items for follow-up 


  • Performs basic data processing and extrapolates data to produce and verify charts and tables


  • Assists with researching, gathering and analyzing externally available economic, Labour market information, and competitive market information 


  • Aid the Research Manager and Advisor with project related duties including reviewing invoicing, helping to meet deadlines for project related tasks, following up with consultants on action items, etc


  • Acts as a point of contact for PHRC stakeholders where necessary, responding to inquiries in a timely fashion


  • Assist with arranging the logistics related to Steering Committee Meetings for internal and external stakeholders


  • Other duties as required



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




  • Some knowledge of the petroleum industry and occupations in Canada


  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills


  • Exemplary interpersonal skills – confident in ability to build and maintain relationships


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingualism is considered an asset


  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented


  • High energy, flexible and ability to take initiative


  • Enjoys the challenge of working in a deadline driven environment 



  • Completed or working towards a post-secondary degree in Economics or related field




  • Some experience and knowledge in Labour market analysis




  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative research with knowledge of various research methodologies is required
